Stacke Tresorbau GmbH commissioned coat of arms by DGi Solutions with the digital restoration of the company’s coat of arms for use in presentation media and small-format printing. The source material was supplied as a photo scan which showed significant blurring, noise, discolouration and cracks. The aim of the restoration project was to graphically optimise the source material using digital techniques and to approximate the appearance of the original.
The digital scan was carefully analysed to determine the exact nature and extent of the work. Discolouration, scratches, cracks, noise and other defects were identified. This analysis served as the basis for the subsequent restoration measures.

The Stacke coat of arms was successfully enhanced using digital restoration techniques. Blurriness, noise, discoloration, and cracks were corrected. The restoration involved analysis, the use of specialized software, and manual touch-ups. Disturbing background artifacts were removed, and the resolution of the coat of arms was increased. Cracks and missing elements were restored by hand. Lost outlines were reestablished, and text was improved for greater legibility. Image and color noise were reduced. The result allows for versatile use of the coat of arms as a company logo, both digitally and in print.
